MONEY MONSTER

Plot:

Lee Gates (Clooney) is a self proclaimed financial guru who is the host of a television show called Money Monster where he gives tips on money management, stocks and trading info. The very popular show is produced by his longtime producer Patty Fenn (Roberts) who after this last broadcast plans on leaving unexpectedly to produce another show. During the taping of his outlandish styled show Gates and the production team are soon held hostage at gunpoint and with a bomb vest by Kyle Budwell (O'Connell) who was on the losing end of a bad investment recommended by his show regarding a company headed up by an elusive CEO named Walt Camby (West) who has yet to speak on the major money loss. Things are spiraling out of control as Kyle who has nothing to lose wants answers to how the company manage to loose over eight hundred million dollars with no explanation.

Reel Talk:

George Clooney and Julia Roberts who have teamed in a few films together are back at it in this thriller directed by Jodie Foster. Honestly this is a pretty predictable movie right from the start but that still does not lessen the fact that it is entertaining. Sometimes you just have to sit back and enjoy a decent movie and this is one of those times. Although it is a suspense thriller it also has some humorous moments. This is a movie that if you catch it at the matinee you won't feel disappointed but true Clooney or Roberts' fans will not be  disappointed period.
