KEANU

Plot:

While feeling down and at a low point in his life due to his girlfriend dumping him, Rell (Peele) finds a cute and cuddly kitten at his doorstep that he will call Keanu and soon becomes strongly attached to. When his place is trashed and the kitten is taken by local drug thug Cheddar (Method Man), Rell along with his best friend Clarence (Key) take on the persona of a couple of murdering, drug dealers so that they can infiltrate Cheddar's crew so that they can get Keanu back. The two un-streetwise pals endure bad drug deals, shoot outs and car chases just for the sake of the feline pet that seems to captivate the heart of anyone that comes in contact with it.

Reel Talk:

The comedic duo of Key & Peele (known from their Comedy Central show of the same name) have now invaded the big screen. Now if you follow along with their raw brand of comedy you will really enjoy this movie which is like a full length version of one of their funny skits. The chemistry between the pair has worked well for them and does again in this film as they  poke fun at the drug plight that plagues the urban communities. Add in Will Forte, Luis Guzman, Method Man and for some screen candy Nia Long and the furry kitten for Keanu and you have an entertaining movie. Not a great movie, but a good entertaining movie. Worth checking out for a few raunchy laughs.
