KELLY & CAL

Plot:

Kelly (Lewis) a former teen punk rocker who is now a wife and new mother trying to adjust her life in a new suburban neighborhood which is more complex than she imagined, then she befriends her neighbor Cal (Weston) a paralyzed teen who is now a loner since his accident and being confined to a wheelchair. The pair's relationship soon becomes complicated when Cal wants more from the confused and vulnerable Kelly.

Reel Talk:

This movie is as confusing as Juliette Lewis' character Kelly and you will be as mad as Jonny Weston's character Cal for watching it. It doesn't know whether it should be  a buddy movie or a love story, so it ends up crashing on neither. To me this is just another movie that provides work and paychecks for some aging actors and actresses leaving the viewers with the lack of a good film. This would have been a good Lifetime movie at best.

Starring: Juliette Lewis, Jonny Weston, Josh Hopkins, Cybil Shepherd and Lucy Owen
Directed by: Jen McGowan
Rated: NR

I give it 2 Corn dogs.
