DRACULA UNTOLD

Plot:

In the heart of Transylvania, Prince Vlad (Evans) is faced with his most crucial and life changing decisions. With his country's lack of manpower, the Turkish army threatens to take all the young men and boys including the prince's young son to further strengthen their forces. Having gone through this tribulation himself as a boy and promising his wife Mirena (Gadon) that their son would be spared such an upbringing, he makes a deal with a cave dwelling vampire to give him the needed power to fight against the superior army. But there are stipulations and consequences that comes with this bargained arrangement that may even cost him his family as well as his kingdom if he can't resist the desired quench for human blood.

Reel Talk:

Where most Dracula movies are generally love stories between the vampire and a woman, this one is the in depth origin to why it was love that turned the man into the legendary monster. Luke Evans the latest actor to join the Dracula legacy was no disappointment to the role and Dominic Cooper who is gaining momentum in his roles as screen villains does a good job in this film as Vlad's nemesis Mehmed. This is not your typical all out blood fest rather than it is a tale of a man's love for his family and kingdom. So don't go expecting the screen to be plastered with blood and guts. Still a good movie worth a night at the movies.
