A QUIET PLACE

Plot:

The Earth has become terrorized by some strange, but vicious creatures that hunt humans by sound. For one family, The Blunts, who are residing on some farmland, they have been struggling with surviving quietly so as not to attract the creatures that have already taken one of the children previously. Being quiet is more challenging than they imagine as they are faced with trying situations. Lee the dad, is continuously seeking help by radio transmission while his wife Evelyn is in the final stages of a pregnancy. Their children, pre-teen daughter Regan, who is a bit rebellious  and young son Marcus are sometimes a bit careless and causes some sounds that puts themselves in danger. With no rescue on the horizon they must work together quietly if they plan to manage living among these creatures or they will wind up dead.

Reel Talk:

This movie has an interesting plot. Butttt some of the details is just down right stupid. I know in scary movies people always do dumb things, but this one just has too many. It is also just not really that scary either. I think my screening partner jumped maybe twice.  Not a bad movie, it is enteretaing to a point but just not as good as it could have been. Can really wait and catch this one on DVD or even cable. If you just need that big screen effect, catch it at a matinee.
