CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE
Plot:
Calvin Joyner (Hart) is a hard working but yet unappreciated accountant who just lost out on a promotion to one of his successors and yet his wife Maggie (Nicolet) who was also his high school sweetheart wants him to attend their class reunion in a couple of days to which he refuses because back during his senior year, being a star athlete and student he was voted most likely to succeed only to feel that he has failed. While on Facebook at work he accepts a friend request from a Bob Stone (Johnson) who was formely a student he helped while being bullied by kids their senior year. They decide to meet for drinks and Calvin is amazed at how the once nerdy Bob has changed into this massive muscle hunk. But he soon realizes that he is caught in a deadly game of espionage when the CIA informs him that Bob is a rogue agent and they need his help to bring him in. So he must either help his old classmate or the government, but he must act fast because his marriage depends on his decision.
Reel Talk:
OK now, you have two of the biggest and hottest celebrities in the business in this film so I had some high expectations but I have to say I was a little disappointed. It was by no way a great movie, just an average movie at best with some much milder humor by the normally outlandish Hart. And even though Johnson has played some goofy roles this character did not quite fit this film at all and was only good for a few jokes. Still not a totally bad movie but a sustaining and entertaining film. Johnson and Hart fans will really enjoy their stars in this film but this film will be best if you catch it at the mainee.
