Plot:

Having survived and escaping the Maze, Thomas and some of his fellow teen escapees are taken into a facility that is suppose to be a safe haven for them against WICKD, the organization that was experimenting them during the maze. But it is not long before Thomas senses that something is not right and he investigates to eventually realize that their new residing place is really another headquarter for WICKD. So now he along with his comrades must escape again and roam the desolated land trying to avoid being affected by a virus known as The Scorch and keep from being attacked by those that have been infected and trying to eat them. They will soon take refuge with a group who like them are seeking a radical section that may have answers and a cure for being infected by the virus and are also being hunted by WICKD.

Reel Talk:

This is the sequel to the 2014 film THE MAZE RUNNER which I really did not like because it was really a boring takeoff of THE HUNGER GAMES, so I went into this one with pretty much the same expectations. But it actually turned out to be much better than the preceding film, giving Thomas and crew a whole new and different adventure. Definitely not a great movie because the storyline could have used some tweaking, but it was still entertaining and yes again better than the first one. Will be a more enjoyable movie if you catch it at a matinee and save a few dollars.

Starring: Dylan O'Brien, Ki Hong Lee, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Giancarlo Esposito and Patricia Clarkston
Directed by: Wes Ball
Rated: PG-13

I give it 3 corn dogs.
