Inspired by the
upcoming Disney movie “Tomorrowland,” The Walt Disney Studios, Disney
Citizenship, and XPRIZE announce a nationwide challenge for young
innovators.
Beginning
April 22, 2015, Disney’s Create Tomorrowland – XPRIZE Challenge invites
kids to imagine themselves in the future and report back to the present
through video,
imagery or stories about one new and amazing invention or innovation
they encounter, how it works, and the impact it has on the future.
In
June, six winners will have a once–in-a-lifetime mentorship experience
with a leader in their area of interest. In addition, each winner will
receive a $3,000 check,
a 3D Printer from 3D Systems, and registration for FIRST® LEGO® League for the competition season 2015-2016 in the U.S.
“‘Tomorrowland’
has always been a place of possibility in our parks and for the
creative team behind our new film,” said Sean Bailey, President, Walt

imaginations of our young people, and Disney is thrilled to work with
XPRIZE to encourage and inspire the next generation of thinkers and
dreamers to build the future they imagine is possible.”

young people a platform to voice and depict their creative, bold and
imaginative problem-solving inventions

solutions to the problems facing humanity can come from anyone, anywhere
and one of these young innovators just might come up with

Participants
will compete in two divisions: Junior Division (8-12 years old), and
Senior Division (13–17 years old). All entrants must have prior consent
from their parent or legal
guardian in order to participate in the challenge. Official Rules and

Official registration and submission period starts April 22, 2015, and runs through May 17, 2015.
Submissions
will be judged on innovation, creativity and presentation. XPRIZE will
provide a panel of judges who will evaluate and score all submissions,

Plot:
James King (Ferrell) is a brilliant but naive investment broker whose life is on point, He is rich, lives in a mansion and about to marry the beautiful but spoiled daughter of his boss. Given time to get his affairs in order he enlist the help of Darnell Lewis (Hart), a young black car wash owner that James believes can train him to be prepared for his life behind bars. To give him a taste of prison life Darnell takes him deep into the ghetto to try to see if he can get the blacks in the hood to help him, but with just some days to go the pair will also investigate to see if they can find out who may have framed the soon to be convict.
Reel Talk:
This is an all out funny movie, from beginning to the end I was rolling laughing. The chemistry between Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart is golden, they are the new dynamic comedy duo. I thought The Wedding Ringer was one of Hart's better movie but this one is his best work. In other movies it seems he tries to carry the movie on his own but with this one it is balanced between himself and Ferrell. Like I mentioned, a very funny movie that I highly recommend. CHECK IT OUT!!!

INSURGENT
Trice (Woodley) and Four (James) having escaped the stronghold of the command of the power thirsty Jeanine (Winslet) are now fugitives being hunted by Max (Phifer), Eric (Courtney) and their soldiers to be captured so that Jeanine can utilize Trice's Divergent powers to open a mysterious box. But while seeking refuge with the other factions Trice must also try dealing with the nightmares that haunt her regarding the death of her parents along with realizing that Four's mother who was once thought to be dead is alive and now running a rebel group that is looking for the opportunity to overthrow Jeanine's organization.
Reel Talk:
Insurgent is the 2nd installment to the 2014 Divergent movie starring the same cast members. Having not being impressed with the first movie my expectations were not that high for this one and I wasn't off the mark. Although this one gave a touch more action than it's predecessor it was probably less amusing because of the erratic story. There were too many holes in the plot that left a lot of unexplained questions. This is strictly for die hard Divergent and Hunger Game fans otherwise you may be be disappointed also. Pay for this one at your own risk!

Focus Features has acquired North American distribution rights from Pathé to the drama
Suffragette, directed by
BAFTA Award winner Sarah Gavron from a script written by Emmy Award
winner Abi Morgan, for a Fall 2015 domestic release. The cast of the
U.K. film includes Academy Award nominees Carey Mulligan and Helena
Bonham Carter, BAFTA
Award winner Ben Whishaw, British Independent Film Award winner
Anne-Marie Duff, Golden Globe Award nominee Brendan Gleeson, and
three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep. Focus has also acquired
the distribution rights for Latin America, India, South Korea,
and most of Eastern Europe including Russia; Universal Pictures
International will release the film in those territories. Focus CEO
Peter Schlessel made the announcement today.
Ruby Films’ Alison Owen, an Academy Award nominee as producer of
Elizabeth, and Faye Ward are the producers of Suffragette, which is directed by Sarah Gavron (Brick Lane) from a screenplay by Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady). The film’s executive producers are Cameron McCracken, Tessa Ross, Rose Garnett,
Nik Bower, James Schamus, and Teresa Moneo.
Suffragette
is a Ruby Films production for Focus Features, Pathé, Film4, and the
BFI in association with Ingenious Media and with the participation of
Canal+ and Cine-Cinema.
Suffragette
is a moving drama that will empower all who are striving for equal
rights in our own day and age. The stirring story, inspired by the
early-20th-century campaign
by the suffragettes for the right of women to vote, centers on Maud
(played by Carey Mulligan), a working wife and mother who comes to
realize that she must fight for her dignity both at home and in her
workplace. Realizing that she is not alone, she becomes
an activist alongside other brave women from all walks of life. The
early efforts at resistance were passive but as the women faced
increasingly aggressive police action, the suffragettes become
galvanized – risking their very lives to ensure that women’s
rights would be recognized and respected.

First Stop of the Luxury Boeing Jet Airliner Kicks off Global Junket and
World Premiere of
Furious 7
Etihad Airways,
the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Universal Pictures today unveiled the luxury
Fast & Furious 777 airliner at Los Angeles International
Airport (LAX). Actor/producer Vin Diesel was on hand as Etihad Airways
Flight 171 arrived from Abu Dhabi to kick off the global junket and
world premiere of
Furious 7. The film arrives in theaters on April 3.
Representing a welcome first for the franchise, the
Fast & Furious 777 will fly the direct route between Abu
Dhabi and Los Angeles, which Etihad Airways opened in June 2014. The
airline is also a sponsor of the
Furious 7 world premiere, which takes place in Los Angeles on April 1.
As the
United Arab Emirates offered an opportunity to inject striking elements
and locales into the series’ mythology, Abu Dhabi became a key location
for the
Furious 7 production. Over the course of two weeks in April
2014, the team lensed in areas outside Abu Dhabi in the Liwa Desert, as
well as in the city center at such locations as the Sheikh Zayed Grand
Mosque, Emirates Palace hotel, the Yas Marina
F1 race circuit and the Etihad Towers. Considering Abu Dhabi’s
striking skyline—one accentuated with stunning architectural
achievements—aerial shots of the skyscrapers were mandatory.

"BRIDGE OF SPIES" TO BE SCORED BY THOMAS NEWMAN
STEVEN SPIELBERG’S DRAMATIC THRILLER
STARRING TOM HANKS TITLED “BRIDGE OF SPIES”
DreamWorks Pictures’/Fox 2000 Pictures’ upcoming dramatic thriller directed by three-time Academy Award®-winning director Steven Spielberg (“Saving Private Ryan,” “Schindler’s List”) and starring two-time Academy Award winner Tom Hanks (“Forrest Gump,” “Philadelphia”), has been titled “Bridge of Spies.” In addition, 12-time Oscar® nominee Thomas Newman (“The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel,” “Saving Mr. Banks”) has been signed to score the film, as John Williams’ schedule was interrupted and he was unavailable to score the film due to a minor health issue, now corrected.
A
dramatic thriller set against the backdrop of a series of historic
events, “Bridge of Spies” tells the story of James Donovan (Hanks),
a Brooklyn lawyer who finds himself thrust into the center of the Cold
War when the CIA sends him on the near-impossible task to negotiate the
release of a captured American U-2 pilot. Screenwriters Matt Charman and
Ethan Coen & Joel Coen have woven this remarkable
experience in Donovan’s life into a story inspired by true events that
captures the essence of a man who risked everything and vividly brings
his personal journey to life. The film will be released in theaters
nationwide on October 16, 2015.
Williams,
whose credits include “Stars Wars: The Force Awakens” and the “Harry
Potter” films, will join Spielberg on his next film, “The BFG,”

“SELMA,” from Paramount Pictures,
Pathé, and Harpo Films, is the story of a movement. The film chronicles
the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when Dr. Martin Luther King,
Jr. led a dangerous campaign to secure equal voting rights
in the face of violent opposition. The epic march from Selma to
Montgomery culminated in President Johnson (Tom Wilkinson) signing the
Voting Rights Act of 1965, one of the most significant victories for the
civil rights movement. Director Ava DuVernay’s “SELMA”
tells the story of how the revered leader and visionary Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. (David Oyelowo) and his brothers and sisters in the
movement prompted change that forever altered history. The film also
stars Tom Wilkinson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Alessandro Nivola,

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST 2015
Disney will release Beauty and the Beast in
3D on March 17, 2017. The beloved tale will be retold for the big
screen with a modern live-action lens and the help of transformative CG
magic. Emma Watson and
Dan Stevens will star as Belle and the Beast/Prince respectively, and
Luke Evans will play the role of Gaston. Emma Thompson has joined the
cast as Mrs. Potts and Kevin Kline as Belle's father, Maurice.

Paramount Pictures announced today that it has
secured the worldwide distribution rights to “CAPTIVE,” starring David
Oyelowo (“SELMA”) and Kate Mara (“FANTASTIC FOUR,” “House of
Cards”). The studio will release the film on September 18, 2015.
Directed by veteran filmmaker Jerry Jameson, the film is based on the book
Unlikely Angel: The Untold Story of the Atlanta Hostage Hero by Ashley Smith with Stacy Mattingly. The film’s screenplay is by Brian Bird.
David
Oyelowo said,"I was drawn to this story because it beautifully
illustrates how a broken spirit can be healed by an unexpected source of
hope. I feel blessed to be continuing my very fruitful relationship
with Paramount."
Also
starring Michael K Williams, Mimi Rogers, Jessica Oyelowo and Leonor
Varela, the film was produced by Terry Botwick, Jerry Jameson,
David Oyelowo and Ken Wales in addition to BN Films' Alex Garcia, Lucas
Akoskin
and Katrina Wolfe. The executive producers are Santiago Garcia Galvan,
BN's Jonathan Gray, Elliott Lester, Ralph Winter and Bird. BN fully
financed the picture.

Plot:
Jimmy Conlon (Neeson) is a retired, now alcoholic former hitman for crime boss Shawn Maquire (Harris) who is also his best friend and the only person who puts up with his drunkard foolishness. Haunted by the crimes of his past and stalked by a relentless Detective Harding (D'Onofrio) who wants him to confess to all his past murders that he was never convicted for over the years, Jimmy just wants to live his days alone and with a bottle of liquor. But when his estranged son Mike (Kinnaman) is almost murdered by the son of his friend and mob boss Shawn, he is forced out of retirement and kills the young man to try and prevent his son from becoming like him. Now he must also go up against his longtime friend who is intent on killing his son as revenge for him taking the life of his only son, with Shawn unleashing all his goons including the ruthless and lethal hitman Andrew Price (Common). The father and son team now has only one night to try to sort things out if they hope to get through this ordeal alive.
Reel Talk:
Liam Neeson has officially taken the title of the current one man army action figure, so Sylvester, Arnold and Jason move over. If people have not learned anything from the TAKEN trilogy they should know not to mess with this man's family...LOL. This movie is an action packed thrill ride from beginning to end keeping you glued to the screen and is actually a little better than the "TAKEN" movies. For a good action fuel movie this is definitely one to catch.

out to children at the conclusion of the feature as they are exiting the auditorium.

will be released domestically by Focus Features in exclusive

The Danish Girl
is the remarkable love story inspired by the lives of artists Einar and
Gerda Wegener (being portrayed, respectively, by Eddie Redmayne and
Alicia Vikander), whose marriage and work are
cast into the unknown when Einar begins a groundbreaking journey to
become one of the world’s first transgender women, Lili Elbe.
The Danish Girl has been adapted into a screenplay by BAFTA Award
nominee Lucinda Coxon, based on the novel of the same name by David
Ebershoff. The film’s cast also includes Matthias Schoenaerts (The Drop), Ben Whishaw (Skyfall), and Amber
Heard (The Rum Diary). The film’s producers are Gail Mutrux (Kinsey) through her Pretty Pictures production company, Anne Harrison (Two Family House) through her Harrison Productions, Working Title co-chairs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner,
and Tom Hooper. Linda Reisman is executive-producing The Danish Girl with Ulf Israel of Senator Global Productions.
