On a brisk and chilly Friday evening, January 19th, the Cobo Convention Center hosted the 2018 North American Charity Preview event where the cars are the stars and the people in all their glitz and glamour come and gaze at their beauty. This kick off event for the auto show is always well attended but the most anticipated event is always the afterglow party hosted by Dennis Archer Jr. and his Ignition Media Group. The 11th Annual Detroit Glamour: Auto Show Afterglow was the party to be at if you wanted to be in the mix with some of the city's local celebrities, movers and shakers and just all around beautiful people. But this is not some party that you can just randomly come to, this is a private event that you must be invited to and then RSVP to attend. This year the host venue was Bert's Warehouse down in the Eastern Market District, that was transformed into a plush and lavish haven for some of host sponsor BMW's cars. With cushioned loungers for the VIP sections, open bar stations and strolling buffets, it is no wonder that everyone tries to attend this event yearly. No doubt Dennis Archer Jr. and Ignition Media Group knows how to host a party. If you missed it this year, all I can say is, better try to get on the list for next year.
