Plot:
Based on actual events and inspired by the Vanity Fair article "The Suspects Wore Louboutin", The Bling Ring tells the story of a group of teenagers led by the rebellious Rebecca (Chang) and the detached but peer influence Marc (Broussard) and how they move from being petty thieves to home invaders to the celebrities. Rebecca utilizes Marc's computer skills to find out when certain celebrities would be out of town and then he gets their address so that the group can go and enter the entertainer's home robbing them of their valuables. The group was so vain that they invaded Paris Hilton's home about 8 times.
Reel Talk:
I know this was based on actual events but this was some straight bull crap! I really don't know who were the real idiots throughout this ordeal, the suspects who repeatedly went to the celeb's homes, returning to some on several occasions and bringing along more friends or the victims who living it these lavish homes with with jewelry and home items worth millions but no home alarm systems and unlocked doors and windows or the key under the mat routine. Pure craziness!!! This is basically another teen movie to give delusional youths more corrupting ideas as if they don't have enough. This could have gone straight to TV.
