Plot:
When an ex Army sniper is caught and detained for allegedly fatally shooting six people in an outside pavilion, he request for an ex military police officer named Jack Reacher (Cruise), who can only be found when he wants to be found. Upon seeing the case on TV he comes to the aid of the defending attorney Halen (Pike) to either help find the sniper's innocence or to follow through with a promise he made earlier to the young man. But soon Reacher realizes that nothing is as it appears and he is soon a target for assassination.
Reel Talk:
There is no denying that Tom Cruise is one of the top action actors in the game. Even though he doesn't fit the description of Jack Reacher in the book, he still comes across convincingly on the screen as the no nonsense, straight to kick some bad guy booty military cop Reacher. Although he only has a small part in the movie, Robert Duvall knows how to maximize and capitalize on stealing scenes because he surely makes his presence known. This is a good action, suspense movie with a whodunit and why twist that may leave you hanging a bit, but still an entertaining movie none the least. Yes this one is worth the admission.
