KONG: SKULL ISLAND
Plot:
Scientist Bill Randa (Goodman) and his assistant Houston Brooks (Hawkins) get the green light from a senator to research an uncharted island in the Pacific that is so hidden that it is not seen on any maps. The two assemble a team headed up by a hard nosed soldier Preston Packard (Jackson) and a tracker James Conrad (Hiddleston) along with a military reporter Mason Weaver (Larson). Upon arriving on the island they are immediately attacked by the gigantic, massive gorilla known as Kong. Preston Packard, never one to run from a fight is now determined to seek out and kill the creature, whereas James Conrad learns from an old soldier that has been a castaway on the island for over 20 years that Kong is actually a protector of the island against monsters more savage than he is. Now the tracker must try to save Kong from the demented minded Packard so that the gorilla will keep them safe so that they may survive and escape the deadly island.
Reel Talk:
This movie from start to the end is one action packed movie. Never a dull moment and will keep you on the edge of your seat. A good cast, a good story (much different than the traditional King Kong headed to New York Plot) and some good cinematography. But who steals the screen scenes are the performances of John C. Reilly and Jason Mitchell who add some humor to the film. Overall a great action packed movie that I thoroughly enjoyed. I definitely say cash this one out to check it out!
