THE PERFECT GUY
Plot:
Leah (Lathan) is a career woman who has just broken up with Dave (Chestnut) who she had been dating for a few years. While out for a night to unwind she encounters Carter (Ealy), a handsome IT specialist who has been checking out the newly single attractive woman. The two began to date and Leah feels that she has met the perfect guy because he is an attentive gentleman who even her parents seem to like. All is going well until one night while the two are out, Carter displays a violent episode on a man that he felt was making advances at Leah. Totally shocked and scared by his sudden dark sided raged mannerism she feels that it is best to dissolve their relationship but this only fuels Carter's anger to the point that she has to file a restraining order against him. This does not stop her former perfect guy from becoming an obsessed stalker who will do whatever it takes to try to get his girl back, even if it means that he will have to kill for her.
Reel Talk:
This movie is like all the other stalker movies that preceded it with a predictable plot and ending. But just like all the others although typical it is entertainment, especially for the ladies who will enjoy the eye candy of Michael Ealy and Morris Chestnut, for men it will be a good date movie at best. It could have been a bit more risque rather than a watered down version of Fatal Attraction that gave the film the PG-13 rating which says it could have been a good HBO, SHOWTIME or LIFETIME movie. Still entertaining enough to be a good date night movie as I mentioned earlier, but you could save a few dollars and catch it at the matinee.
