JUPITER ASCENDING
Plot:
Jupiter Jones (Kunis) is a young lady who hates her life as a house cleaner alongside her mother and aunt, but her life will soon change when she encounters some strange occurrences and then meets Caine Wise (Tatum) who is a flying boots wearing merchanery sent to protect her from two competing brothers from another distant planet. The brothers Balem Abrasax (Redmayne) and Titus Abrasax (Booth) both want the Earth for the purpose of harvesting it dry of all human life, but they are unable to do so because they have come to realize that it has been deeded over to the Earthling Jupiter. So they must try whatever tactics they can to manipulate or force her to sign over her lease of the planet, but when Caine sees that their plot is evil he helps the woman in her fight to salvage the only place she knows as her home.
Reel Talk:
This big budgeted movie is all hype and no punch! They had even pushed this film from it's original release date of early 2014 to now with hopes of building up a stronger buzz but really they could have just released this on DVD. This is another example of what I have been saying about Hollywood, they no longer have any originality to introduce to film making so they just pile on a bunch of special effects (in 3D) and pack in some action and think they can pass it off as a good film. In the words of Ed Lover - C'mon Son...get outta here with that bull crap. Be warned, go see this at your own risk and dime because it is a waste of good time.
