Even though I didn't have any movie reviews to report for the week, THE REEL HUSTLER still dropped by The Billy T Show on WCHB 1200AM and 99.9FM, Saturday afternoon from 2pm-4pm to kick it with Billy T and his co-hosts TJ, Racquel and comedian Bobo Lamb. We were joined by special guests hip hop legends Dana Dane and DJ Hurricane who were in town for the ADIDAS vs Everybody party promoted by Al Maddin Entertainment, filmmaker and entrepreneur Donny Armstrong, singer Alise King and stage play writer and producer Shawn P. Williams. It was fun times in the studio.

WILSON
Plot:
Wilson (Harrelson) is a middle aged man who has not adapted to life in the new computer age of texting, social media and the Internet. He is one who needs to be around people, who needs to converse and get things off his chest even if it offends of annoys people. During an encounter with his estranged wife Pippi (Dern) a former drug addict, he realizes that he they are parents to a teen that neither has ever met because she was given up for adoption when she was born. Wanting to see her he takes a reluctant Pippi to meet the young girl who works at the mall. Upon meeting their daughter Claire (Amara) Wilson wants to establish a relation with hopes that they will become one big happy family, but that plan would be distressing for him when he takes the girl along with Pippi on a weekend getaway without the permission of her adoptive parents. His ill advised actions would eventually land him in prison where his straight forward approach will not fair well for him with the other inmates.
Reel Talk:
This is one of those movies that you will either have to like the work of the actor or have an appreciation for some good acting, because it is not a film that you will just rush out to see. In this case Woody Harrelson is both an actor worthy and puts in a worthy performance, continuing to show that he is a versatile thespian. Although this low budgeted movie is billed as a comedy, Harrelson will take you on a wave of emotions as his character Wilson will have you laughing, sad, some may shed a tear or two, even mad and then back to being happy again. A good movie with a good performance by Woody, that would have been a good Lifetime movie, but fortunately you can catch it at a matinee show and you won't be disappointed.
